The problem

Agents call tools, move data and take actions across systems. Observability tells you what happened afterwards. Agent Edition evaluates governed actions locally within the deployment, before they execute.
How it works
Configured for the deployment. Executed locally.
Policies and controls are prepared for the deployment and executed in the customer environment. Runtime decisions remain local. Speculum AI does not operate a central control plane for the deployment; any control-plane integration is customer-owned and defined for that deployment.
Install
Install Agent Edition in a supported AI agent or AI agent orchestration deployment. It operates as a standalone local decision plane.
Decide locally
Enforcement decisions are made locally and deterministically. Raw content stays in your environment.
Review on your cadence
An optional FDE review can be added on a customer-agreed cadence without changing Agent Edition’s standalone local operation. The customer remains the authorising authority.
Coverage
Declared per action surface, not promised per framework.
Agents differ in what they expose. Agent Edition states coverage for each action surface and integration seam it governs, rather than claiming a framework wholesale.
Release scope and supported frameworks are confirmed at release.

Agent Edition is a dedicated implementation within Mirror Shield, built on the Mirror OS runtime foundation for standalone local AI agent and AI agent orchestration deployments. As a workload grows, the deployment can extend into the enterprise Mirror Shield path, Mirror Runtime or Mirror Foundry.
